Forty years — that’s a long time for any band. But it’s even longer for a band like Rush, which has nearly obsessively toured for most of its career, making for a number of documentaries and live films. In that time, the band has built a cult following — worshipers, if you will, who will follow the band from stop to stop marveling at the trio’s famed musicianship. Many of these Rush diehards will be at the Pepsi Center on July 11 for the band’s Denver stop on its 40th anniversary tour. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 30. ($46-$126, )
You probably didn’t even realize that Ryan Adams played an intimate show at Boulder’s Fox Theatre for the industry conference FMQB. There were a few tickets open to the public, but not many. That will change this year when Adams returns to play Red Rocks Amphitheatre on June 4. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 30. ($45-$99.50, )
Bassnectar will test Red Rocks Amphitheatre‘s new noise restrictions. Can he keep his namesake low-end under control? We’ll see when the EDM producer returns on May 29-31 for three shows at the mountain amphitheater. Tickets for his three-night run go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 31. ($43.25-$129.75, )
It’s becoming an annual tradition to spend the summer with Tedeschi Trucks Band. For the fourth year in a row, husband and wife duo — slide guitar virtuoso Derek Trucks and singer Susan Tedeschi — will take their rightful place on stage between the monoliths at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The blues-rock group plays the rocks on June 13 and tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 30. ($42-$100, )
