COLORADO SPRINGS — A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the death of a 2-year-old boy earlier this month.
Raul Alvarado, 20, was arrested on suspicion first-degree murder in the death of the boy. The boy was injured Jan. 14 and was found unresponsive by police officers, authorities say.
The boy was taken to Memorial Hospital Central, police said, and later transferred to Denver Children’s Hospital. The boy died Jan. 17.
Mayra Juarez, 22, was has been accused of child abuse resulting in death.
Police said no other arrests were anticipated.
