Icelantic is yet to cancel Winter on the Rocks, its annual cold weather concert out in the foothills at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. There has been mild weather and there have been snowstorms — like the 6 inches of snow that dumped on the Morrison venue the night before Winter on the Rocks last year. And yet, Winter on the Rocks, and its tough fans, have kept making the trek up the hill toward the historic amphitheater. This year, EDM act Major Lazer and reggae artist Damian Marley will co-headline. As of earlier this week, the forecast in Morrison had a chance of rain with a high of 45 degrees and a low of 27 degrees. In other words, be prepared for anything. (Jan. 30, $52.80-$100, )

Long live the rapper who makes an entire mixtape devoted to his love of “Seinfeld.” In 2008, Wale made his big breakthrough with “The Mixtape About Nothing,” a release inspired by, well, the show about nothing. Since then, he’s followed it up with three studio albums, the most recent released on Atlantic records. While he’s gone toward a much more mainstream sound over the years, you still have to respect the guy for launching his career from a TV sitcom that had ended a decade prior. Wale plays the Gothic Theatre on Feb. 2 with Audio Push and Bizzy Crook. ($28.50, )
