Through March 29. Denver’s Month of Photography is in March, though somehow it manages to start and end way off schedule. That’s a good thing for photo fans — the effort is huge and there’s no way to see it all in 31 days. The first exhibits have popped up in The McNichols Building and the Buell Theater lobby, which are sharing “From Dead Serious to Great Fun.” The show has two parts: a retrospective from portrait photographer Philippe Halsman (1906-1979), who shot Marilyn Monroe, left,Albert Einstein and others, and “It’s Personal,” a sampling from local members of the American Society of Media Photographers. The Buell is accessible during events, and the McNichols Building is open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday. Through March 29. 720-635-7611 or .
