Police in Denver have identified four people arrested Wednesday night in Montbello that ended when the vehicle the suspects were riding in crashed into a home.

Xavier Claypool, 21, Isaac Hernandez, 18, Deshawn Johnson, 19, and Michael Byrd, 20, are being held on suspicion of attempted homicide and felony eluding, police said.

The men were arrested after Denver police were conducting a search in the Montbello neighborhood for at least one other suspect after an incident in which shots were fired.

A police spokeswoman said officers were on the scene of the 4300 block of Durham Court at about 10:15 p.m. and reported that shots had been fired.

When they tried to make contact with the occupants of a vehicle, the car fled the scene. After a short chase, the passengers abandoned the car after it crashed.

SWAT and police K-9 units assisted in the arrests.
