A vote on a bill to change admission standards at Metropolitan State University of Denver was postponed Thursday.

The state Senate Education Committee laid over the bill after its meeting ran long.

, sponsored by Sen. Kent Lambert, R-Colorado Springs, would change Metro’s admissions standards to make them more selective so all students would have to show higher scores and grades.

The Senate Education Committee meets again Wednesday.
