The Rapids have arrived in San Diego, where the club will participate in warm weather training before returning to Colorado on Feb. 5.
After a short stint at home, the club will head to Las Vegas where the on Sunday, Feb. 15 in the first preseason match of 2015. It could pit the recently acquired midfielder Sam Cronin against his former club where spent the past five seasons and appeared in 140 league matches (132 starts). Cronin made it clear this week he wants to get the year off on the right foot.

“It’s fun. It’s all part of the business and I’m a Rapids player now and excited for the year,” Cronin said. “And it’s important in the preseason for us to be looking to create the right mentality and get wins from the very start. So we’ll be looking to play well, but win that game.”
