Cherry Creek’s Santino Marchiol helped the U.S. Under-17 National Team to a 24-10 decision of Canada in the International Bowl on Saturday.

Competing at Maverick Stadium in Arlington, Texas, Marchiol, a sophomore, had a team-high six tackles. Marchiol also helped his Bruins to the Class 5A state championship.

The International Bowl is a collaboration of the sportap national governing bodies in each country, USA Football and Football Canada, along with the International Federation of American Football, the sportap international governing body as recognized by the International Olympic Committee.

The IFAF World Team included players from 27 countries. IFAF’s 68 member nations reside on six continents.
