
Denver International Airport had its busiest year ever in 2014, moving more than 53 million passengers.

The airport’s 2014 tally included a record 2.21 million international passengers, up 12 percent from 2013 levels.
“DIA has the third-largest domestic network for flights, and has seen sustained growth in international passenger traffic that has been bolstered by new service to destinations around the globe such as Tokyo and Panama City,” DIA CEO Kim Day said in a statement.
Other added in 2014 included Guadalajara and Chihuahua, Mexico.
The airport moved 519 million pounds of cargo in 2014, up 4.1 percent from the previous year.
