Re: “Jeff Greene is right about what human consumption is doing to Earth,” Jan. 30 letter to the editor.

Letter-writer John R. Bermingham missed the point of your editorial regarding Jeff Greene (“Patronizing twaddle from Davos,” Jan. 22). Bermingham launched into the usual talking points regarding mankind’s alleged destruction of the planet without understanding Greene’s hypocrisy.

A billionaire flying himself and his family to Davos for a conference where he urges working people to do with less, in order to save the planet, exposes his agenda. If Greene was serious, if he thought there really was a problem, he’d lead by example.

Guys like Jeff Greene and Al Gore don’t have a carbon footprint, they have a carbon crater.
