A body found after a house fire Wednesday in Fountain has been identified as 27-year-old Larissa Gabriella Tiffany-Schiess.

The El Paso County Coroner has ruled her cause of death a homicide.

Earlier Thursday, police said they had located Tiffany-Schiess’ missing car in Pueblo. Investigators say they are looking for persons of interest in the case.

The death and fire are being investigated by the Fountain Fire Department, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, and the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.

According to Fountain police, the fire department received a call after smoke detectors activated at a residence in the 900 block of Candlestar Loop S. At about 2:41 a.m. Wednesday, Fountain firefighters arrived and discovered a burning residence. The body was found a short time later.

The fire is considered suspicious and officials said Tiffany-Schiess did not die in the fire.
