“Inventing My Dream” celebrates MLK’s legacy, Black History Month

Through Feb. 15.

One of Denver’s most popular tourist destinations is getting a shot of history as “Me and the Dream” continues through Feb. 15 at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center to commemorate Black History Month. The free exhibit and programming, which takes over the Grand Court at Cherry Creek, features rare photographs and memorabilia documenting the work and family life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his visits to Denver. The exhibit will celebrate its fifth year as well as its new theme, “Inventing My Dream,” starting at 11 a.m. on Feb. 7 with panels that explore the contributions of black inventors. 3000 E.
