Loveland’s family-friendly Fire and Ice Festival is Feb. 13 and 14. With live illuminations and light projections lining Fourth Street, fireworks, a snow sculpture and snow-car show, romantic carriage rides, live music and more.
Chilly Bowl
Winterfest Weekend in Pagosa Springs is Feb. 13-15. Enter the Winterfest Chilly Bowl with any dish that contains chiles, participate in a Nordic race or the Penguin Plunge, watch hot-air balloons ascend over the town and more. Registration for the Chilly Bowl is $10 for adults, $5 for kids.
Women’s Ski Week
Women’s Ski Week in Breckenridge is Feb. 14-22. This nine-day event offers female-oriented activities and workshops, such as lessons from top female instructors followed by wine tastings, a women’s ski and snowboard camp, a women-only ski jumping competition and much more. Prices per activity vary.
Ice fishing competition
The 18th annual Wolford Ice Fishing Contest in Kremmling is Feb. 21. This one-day contest has hourly “big fish” prizes, door prizes and a $10,000 award for the winning tagged fish. Registration is $35 for anyone who wants to compete for a cash prize. kremmlingchamber.com or 970-724-3472
