A six-car accident occurred Tuesday night at the Wadsworth Boulevard exit of eastbound Interstate 70, Arvada police said.
Police spokeswoman Jill McGranahan said the department’s Critical Accident Response Team was on the scene, an indication of serious bodily injuries.
The initial investigation indicated that speed, not drugs or alcohol, may have contributed to the incident.
While the ramp will be closed for several hours, McGranahan said about 8:45 p.m., cars would still be allowed to exit. However, vehicles will only be able to drive south on Wadsworth.
