Fat Tuesday in Breckenridge
Breckenridge celebrates Mardi Gras with Fat Tuesday on Feb. 17. From 2-5 p.m., Main Street will be filled with live music, puppets, fire dancers, a carnival and more.
Laff it up in Aspen
Aspen’s Laff Fest is Feb. 19-21. After a day on the slopes, head to apres-ski comedy, featuring locally and nationally-known comedians each evening. This year’s festival includes Jim Breuer and Christopher Titus, among others. All events take place at the Wheeler Opera House. Ticket prices vary, day passes are available.
Snow Goose Festival
Lamar’s High Plains Snow Goose Festival is Feb. 20-22. Celebrating bird- and wildlife-watching, the festival features speakers, environmental movies, bird- and wildlife-watching tours, live music and a silent auction. Prices per event vary.
Ice sculpture
The final weekend of the 8th annual Cripple Creek Ice Festival is Feb. 21-22. Watch sculptors carve ice into giant works of art, or join the fun and play in an icy maze or compete in iced-over carnival games. Adults can enjoy an ice bar with a liquor luge.
