Colorado has seen a pretty consistent amount of since the band exploded with its Mercury Prize-winning debut, “An Awesome Wave.”

Well, less than a year after headlining the Fillmore Auditorium, Alt-J will return again, this time headlining the 9,000 capacity Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Alt-J plays Red Rocks on July 27 with TV on the Radio.

We’re hoping this time through the Rocky Mountains Alt-J will have made some changes to the set. When the English indie-rock band , we couldn’t help but get a sense of familiarity.

If you saw Alt-J at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium in September 2013 and then again on Tuesday night (aka 13 months later) at the same venue and felt the déjà vu creeping in, you’re not alone.

At both shows: “Fitzpleasure’s” meandering melodies came early. The quiet fury of “Tessellate” landed in the middle. The lulling “Matilda” was the evening’s biggest singalong. And Pixies-like “Breezeblocks” was saved for the encore.

Tickets for the July 27 Red Rocks show go on sale at 10 a.m. on Feb. 20 and cost $39.95-$45.
