Police in Denver have shutdown the eastbound lanes of Smith Road on Tuesday morning because of several accidents and icy conditions.
The closure was announced at about 8:45 a.m. between Havana and Peoria streets.
Police said it was not immediately known if there were any injuries caused by the wrecks. Officials are encouraging motorists to seek alternate routes.
Police did not say when the lanes would reopen.
