1 Garage showdown. Police responded to the 9900 block of Joplin Street, Commerce City, because a man smashed a beer bottle on another man’s face Feb. 2. The suspect said the man was sleeping with his girlfriend and taunting him about it. The argument escalated until they were fighting in the garage. Both men were cited.

2 Price protest. A shoplifter admitted to trying to steal bags of frozen shrimp from the Walmart at 850 E. 88th Ave., Thornton, because she said it was too expensive and she wouldn’t get it otherwise. The woman also tried to take carpet cleaner and aspirin Jan. 22.

3 Underage parking lot party. Two teenagers were taken into custody Jan. 24 after a police officer caught them drinking vodka and smoking marijuana in a parking lot in the 8600 block of Zuni Street, Federal Heights. They were released to their parents.

4 Off road toilet. A police officer saw a car pull into the 6000 block of East 52nd Avenue, Commerce City, where a man got out of the car and urinated on the road Feb. 2. The officer followed him and gave him a ticket.

5 Packing brass. A patrolling police officer noticed a suspicious man skulking around in the 9300 block of Federal Boulevard, Federal Heights. He stopped and frisked the man Jan. 25, and found a knife and a pair of brass knuckles. He was arrested.

6 Roaming huskies. Residents in the 500 block of 91st Circle, Thornton, called police because two huskies were wandering around the neighborhood unattended. The officer took them back to their owner for the third time Jan. 20. He was given a summons.
