JaVale McGee , along with a first-round draft pick, to the 76ers at Thursday’s deadline, in what was ultimately a salary dump for the Nuggets. McGee was the second-highest-paid player for the Nuggets, but his production failed to match his salary, primarily because of a string injuries.
But on Friday, in his debut with Philadelphia, McGee offered an impressive reminder of why he was given big money to begin with. Sure, his decision-making is often questionable, and his health moreso, but you can’t teach this kind of athleticism.
