Sports mogul Stan Kroenke’s real estate company snapped up the Ross- and PetSmart-anchored Market Square Shopping Center in Boulder for $22.97 million, according to Boulder County property records.

TKG Boulder Market Square LLC, an entity registered to the Columbia, Mo.-based The Kroenke Group, purchased 1830 and 1890 30th St., which include the 100,000-square-foot Market Square Shopping Center and an adjacent building.

The properties sold for $15.23 million in 2003 to Boulder Market Square 03 LLC, according to Boulder County Assessor records.

Officials for The Kroenke Group could not be immediately reached for comment.

The Kroenke Group has been increasing its holdings in Boulder and Broomfield counties, last year purchasing the King Soopers-anchored Louisville Plaza and a tract of vacant land in Louisville for $16.7 million and the former Great Indoors property in Broomfield for $5.2 million.

Kroenke’s sports holdings include the St. Louis Rams, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and the Pepsi Center in Denver.
