Sunday: There is so much to love about the phrase “The Jimi Hendrix of bagpipe,” especially when it describes a real person, and not simply some imagined super-being who shreds on said instrument. Carlos Núñez, the Spanish musician and subject of that Billboard Magazine quote, is a platinum-selling, internationally renowned bagpiper whose mission it is to spread Celtic music (and its many variations and crossovers) to mainstream audiences via his gaita, or Galician bagpipe.
