Police in Fruita are searching for a man wanted in what was apparently the attempted abduction of a 12-year-old girl on Tuesday evening.
The girl was approached at about 5:30 p.m. by a man she didn’t know near Olga Anson Park when he grabbed her from behind.
“The young girl ran away from the male and he ran in an unknown direction,” police said.
The suspect is described as being between 20- and 40-years-old and roughly six-feet-tall with dark hair and a moustache.
“There is currently no additional information, and the case is under investigation,” police said.
