A 2-year-old dog found in Denver with several severe injuries is believed to be the abandoned victim of dog fighting.
The Pitbull mix was found and reported by a good Samaritan Thursday morning in the 1500 West Maple Avenue, according to Environmental Health spokeswoman Kerra Jones.
“The dog has multiple severe injuries to his head, ears and legs that are consistent with dog fighting,” Jones wrote. “The dog is currently being evaluated by (Denver Animal Protection) veterinary staff and is expected to survive.”
