A man was arrested Saturday after three underage girls were assaulted near Breckenridge.

The incident happened early Saturday morning, according to a news release from the Summit County sheriff’s office. The sheriff’s office and Breckenridge Police Department both responded at about 1:45 a.m. to a condominium complex at 1258 Baldy Road in unincorporated Summit County on reports of an assault in progress.

Officers found three juvenile girls had been assaulted. All three were transported to the St. Anthony Summit Medical Center, where one remains in critical condition.

The suspect was no longer at the scene, but was identified and located at the home of one of the victims a short time later.

He was taken into custody without incident, although he was first transported to the Summit Medical Center and treated for “self-inflicted injuries,” according to the release.

The man, 37-year-old Sky Wodraska of Breckenridge, is being held on eight charges including first-degree assault, first-degree attempted murder, child abuse, kidnapping and violation of a protection order.

Colorado court records show Wodraska had a protection order filed against him Feb. 28, 2014. The Summit County sheriff’s office said in the news release they expect to have more information available Monday on the assaults.
