A 42-year-old woman faces two vehicular homicide charges in connection with a fatal crash earlier this month, prosecutors said Wednesday.
Alicia Contos is charged with vehicular homicide-DUI and vehicular homicide-reckless. Denver prosecutors allege that on the evening of March 8, at the intersection of North Federal Boulevard and West 14th Avenue, Contos was driving drunk when she caused a fatal crash that killed a pedestrian, 57-year-old Ruben Marquez.
Contos remains in custody, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office. Her bond is set at $50,000.
