WINDSOR, Colo. (AP) — Wind energy equipment manufacturer Vestas is planning to hire 400 people at its plant in Windsor as it goes forward with expansion plans.

Company spokesman Piper Baron says the company is expanding production and adding lines. The company is also considering expanding its production plant.

According to the Greeley Tribune (http://tinyurl.com/p5u3p4q ), the company plans to fill 300 permanent and 100 temporary positions for production and production support.

The company has said orders for wind turbines are expected to pick up dramatically in the United States as demand for renewable energy increases and electrical production improves.
