Cory Gardner was one of 47 Republican senators who signed a letter to Iran about nuclear negotiations. (Brennan Linsley, AP)
Re: “Cory Gardner defends controversial letter to Iranian leaders,” March 11 news story.
Once again, Republicans have shown an uncanny ability to state what they’re against, loudly, but little wisdom in clarifying what they are actually for.
Sen. Cory Gardner is quoted as having said, “We’re talking about the very future of the world.” His endorsement of the Republican letter to Iran clearly indicates that he has absolutely no faith in negotiation, so what does he propose? How would he shape the “future of the world”? Boots on the ground? Details would be appreciated.
