Mitch Finesilver and Tanner Harms, former wrestlers at Cherry Creek in Greenwood Village, have qualified for the NCAA Division I Tournament.

It will be held held Thursday through Saturday at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

Finesilver, now a freshman at Duke, qualified at 133 pounds. He is 14-10. He finished second at the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament. Tanner Harms, who graduated from Cherry Creek in 2011, is an entrant at 285 pounds for Wyoming. He is 18-10.

While at Cherry Creek, Finesilver was a four-time state qualifier with two titles, a runner-up showing and a 156-17 mark. Harms was 78-9 as a Bruin, placing third and sixth in the upper weights.

“We are so proud of both of these young men,” Cherry Creek coach Mark Luhring indicated in an e-mail.
