Sunday-June 28: The Denver Art Museum’s big play for spring is an exhibition of late-career works by the 20th-century Spanish icon Joan Miró. “Instinct & Imagination” opens Sunday and runs through June 28. The show features more than 50 artworks, all from the collection of Madrid’s Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, which assembled the event in partnership with the Seattle Art Museum. The works span 18 years, dating back to 1963 as Miró was entering his eighth decade, yet they prove him to be energetic — even experimental — moving forward into new media. Through June 28. Denver Art Museum, West 13th Avenue and Bannock Street. $10 for Colorado residents. 720-865-5000 or .
