COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Fort Carson officials say a soldier was injured while parachuting on the post.
The Colorado Springs Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1940lKj ) the soldier, whose name and condition have not been released, was hurt Wednesday morning and taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Military officials did not identify the soldier or the unit that was involved.
Most soldiers at Fort Carson are in units that don’t routinely use parachutes. The exception is the post’s 10th Special Forces Group, which includes Green Berets who are trained in combat parachuting.
