Authorities in Denver have identified a 20-year-old man in the city’s Montbello neighborhood on Saturday afternoon.

The city’s medical examiner’s office identified the man as Taylor Yager.

“The cause and manner of death is pending investigation,” the office said.

Firefighters pulled Yager’s body from a small pond near the intersection of Kittredge Street and East Bolling Drive.

Police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez said over the weekend that investigators are still trying to determine the cause of death and how long the body had been in the water.

Lopez told The Denver Post it was too early to tell if the death was related to a crime.
