A man in his 40s was killed in his Westminster home on St. Patrick’s Day, officials confirmed Monday.
Police did not identify the man, who lived in the 7300 block of Bradburn Boulevard. But 7News said the victim was 41-year-old Lucas Mendoza Barrera.
Westminster police said the department received a call about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday about a possible suicide.
According to police, when they arrived at the scene they determined it was more likely a homicide. It is currently being investigated as such.
Investigator Cheri Spottke said no further information will be released at this time since the case is still under investigation.
