A man working in Aurora as a massage therapist — without a Colorado license — was arrested Monday under suspicion of assaulting three women.
According to Aurora police, Guanming Shenyang Yin, 60, is the suspect in three incidents that occurred at the Relax Spa, located in the 14000 block of E. Mississippi Ave. The most recent happened on Monday. A 46-year-old woman told police she had gone to the spa to get a massage and that while Yin was massaging her, touched her inappropriately.
The woman protested and immediately got off the massage table, put her clothes on and left, contacting police. The officers who arrived on scene conducted an investigation and arrested Yin for unlawful sexual contact, a class 1 misdemeanor.
Yin was also being investigated for allegations of sexual assault that were reported by two additional victims on March 10 and March 20. At the time of those reports the detective investigating the incidents did not have sufficient evidence to make an arrest.
Police are seeking an additional charge of unlawful sexual contact against Yin for the March 10 incident. Officials said the case from Monday will be presented for sexual assault, a class-three felony.
