Getting your player ready...

The Nuggets’ final 11 games of the season start Wednesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers.

So what can be accomplished?

“A lot — collectively, individually,” point guard Jameer Nelson said. “You want to play your best basketball. You want to go out with as much of a bang as best as you can.”

There are six home games and five road contests remaining before a busy offseason begins. But Nuggets interim coach Melvin Hunt says he’s advising his team to take each one as they come instead of looking at them in a chunk.

“I think we can continue to build a mindset,” Hunt said. “We’re not looking at the ninth game; we’re looking at this next game. I think that’s building us up as pros. A pro looks at the task at hand and attacks that. I think my guys are figuring out these are bite-sized tasks; we go after the first thing. We don’t want to look at the task of 11 games. That can be kind of daunting and set you back. But I think we can look at bite-size goals and figure that out.”

Hunt said he didn’t anticipate having any injury issues that would preclude players from playing Wednesday. Guard Randy Foye (flu) practiced Tuesday and is available to play.
