The weather pattern for April favors a drier and warmer start for the first full month of spring.
The pleasant start will be caused by a ridge that will be over the West.
This generally will keep storm systems well to the south.
The normal high and low temperatures for Denver range from 58 degrees and 30 degrees on April 1 to 61 degrees and 33 degrees on April 15 and 66 degrees and 37 degrees on April 30.
The sunny skies and relatively dry weather should combine to bring warmer-than-normal days through the first half of the month.
Models show a Pacific front could bring rain and some cooling around the first weekend of April, but that should be it.
A pattern change around midmonth could bring a few opportunities for showers through about the third week of April, but it should be warm enough that any snowfall would be confined to the mountains with low chances for snow in Denver.
The warmer and drier pattern should return late in April and could yield a day or two of 80 degrees or above in Denver.
Overall, April 2015 looks to be slightly warmer than normal with the wettest weather to the west of Denver.
