Getting your player ready...

CBS Sports NFL writer Jason La Canfora joined Woody Paige and Les Shapiro to discuss Adrian Peterson’s future.

In the aftermath of the star running back’s child abuse case, Adrian Peterson and his agent have made it well known that the league’s 2012 most valuable player isn’t happy with the Minnesota Vikings organization and how they treated him during the case. Peterson was put on the Exempt/Commissioner’s Permission list in September, removing him from the team’s active roster.

The Vikings have made it clear that they will not be releasing Peterson, meaning that if any moves are to be made for him during the offseason, it must be done via trade.

On The Sports Show, La Canfora said something needs to happen before the end of the NFL draft otherwise things could turn for the worse.

“I think it really becomes a war of the worlds,” La Canfora said. “That stare down becomes a mean-mug down. It goes from just a stare to a grimace.”

La Confora continued saying Peterson feels like the Vikings have damaged his reputation.
