The big chance for snow comes Thursday night into Friday. Forecasters are predicting a 70 percent chance of snowfall, with three to five inches of accumulation possible by Friday morning.

Drivers traveling at night through the Interstate 70 mountain corridor. the Colorado Department of Transportation said crews will install a fixed fire suppression system in the Eisenhower-Johnson tunnels starting Monday. One side of the twin tunnels will be shut down nearly every night, with the other tunnel handling the traffic in both directions.

Victor Reyes, 25, is facing charges for drunk driving, drug possession, child abuse and resisting arrest. His infant son was turned over the the child’s mother’s family.

Police in Vail are investigating , and ended with charges of attempted murder.

Investigators say Manuel Serrano-Lerma brandished a gun and fired at the other driver during the ordeal. He was pulled over near Frisco and when police ran the plates, they realized the SUV he was driving was stolen in New Mexico.

He and his passenger, 21-year-old Chelsey Jacobs, face charges of vehicle theft. Serrano-lerma also faces attempted murder charges. No one was injured, the other driver has not been identified.

It’s senior day at the state capitol. The Post was there to see the guest of honor, 100-year-old Ruth Yamauchi leading the pledge of allegiance. She was one of 110,000 Japanese Americans locked up in relocation camps in Utah after Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor.

Two bills aimed at helping seniors are being run at the state legislature. One of them is to create a planning group to prepare for the senior population explosion, which is expected to double in the next 15 years to 1.2 million elderly people.
