LITTLETON — Four apartments were damaged by flames and several other were damaged by smoke at a complex in Littleton Friday.
The fire at the Verona Apartments, located at 2931 W. Centennial Dr., was reported just after noon on Friday. One unit, where the fire is believed to have started, was used as a storage area.
“It’s actually a vacant unit where they were storing doors and sinks and paint and varnish and that’s what’s making it difficult to extinguish the fire,” said Littleton Fire & Rescue Chief Chris Armstrong.
