FOWLER, Colo. (AP) — Fire crews are again working to put out hot spots at wildlife near the town of Fowler after high winds reignited the blaze late Thursday.

The original 130-acre wildfire near the Otero and Pueblo county line was declared fully contained Thursday but about four hours later the fire reignited and burned into Pueblo County. It was quickly contained.

The flare up came as high winds knocked down trees in power lines in nearby La Junta.

Officials say the fire was started Wednesday by residual fire from a private, controlled burn the day before that wasn’t completely extinguished.

Crews from Fowler, La Junta and Olney Springs were working at the fire on Friday.
