A man was struck and killed Friday night by an RTD train in Lakewood, according to the West Metro fire department.
A spokesman said the incident happened at about 9 p.m. about a half block west of Kipling Street between West 13th Avenue and 13th Place. The spokesman said it was unclear how the unidentified adult male got onto the tracks.
Service on the line was interrupted following the incident, with RTD providing buses to take passengers around the scene. It was unclear when the tracks would re-open.
