Mountain Vista junior Mallory Pugh set personal bests in goals and assists scored in a season — and she’s only played in six games.

Pugh has 17 goals and nine assists, averaging an absurd 5A-leading 7.2 points a game for the Golden Eagles girls soccer team. In second place (with at least four games played) is ThunderRidge senior Kayla Hill, who’s averaging 4.7 points.

Mountain Vista started the season without Pugh and had a 1-2 record with just four goals scored. Since her season debut, the team has gone 6-0 and have outscored their opponents 48-1.

Pugh, 16, is a member of the US Under-20 women’s soccer team and has committed to playing at UCLA. Vista opponents should get some reprieve soon as Pugh is heading to Carson, Calif., to the U-20 training camp from April 11-18.
