Getting your player ready...

It may be months before the beginning of the NFL season but things are changing in the Denver Broncos locker room.

Broncos safety T.J. Ward joined Woody Paige and Les Shapiro on The Sports Show. He said there are a lot of changes around the building which is evidence of the new coaching staff.

Ward said it will be interesting to see all the new players in what should be a 90-man-team as the Broncos head into offseason workouts.

There’s been a lot of talk about second-year player Bradley Roby moving from cornerback to safety. Ward said Roby is very physical and made a lot of great plays for the team last year but there are many guys who can fill the role. Roby had 65 tackles for the Broncos last year.

Ward discussed the possibility of adding versatility to his role, playing alongside a teammate who is equally flexible at the safety position as he is.

“I’m excited about being able to play back and near the line of scrimmage,” Ward said. “I think it makes it a little bit better when you have two guys that can do multiple things. You can mix and match…That’s how I like to play personally.”
