Twin Peaks will play Denver’s on May 14 with local support from Plum and Ned Garthe Explosion. Tickets for the show are $3 with an RSVP and $15 without an RSVP. You can (and probably should)
In March, we caught dozens of acts at SXSW 2015, but Twin Peaks . You know, when you run into Future Island’s Samuel Herring at a show (which we did at Twin Peaks’ set), that the band is worth watching.
Here’s what we had to say about the band:
Isn’t music supposed to be fun? Sometimes the fans, the industry people, even the bands themselves forget this. Not Twin Peaks. Few bands look liked they were enjoying themselves as much as Twin Peaks did on stage last week at SXSW. It seemed like a group of dudes that had met up in their basement to rock out. Was anyone watching them? Who cares — they’re just having a blast playing music. Even in the recorded product, you can hear that the band is in it for the thrill of a solo or a tempo change or a catchy hook.
