“First Dates”
The reality TV show modeled on a UK show and adapted by NBC and Ellen DeGeneres’ production company, is now casting, looking for willing singles in Denver. Must be ages 18 to 65+.
The long includes questions like “what’s your deal-breaker” quality in a man/woman? Smoking? Drinking? Kids? And the fine print to which applicants must afix a signature is very, very detailed.
Casting producer Kaitlyn Ward said, “we interview all applicants and set them up with someone who shares similar interests and tastes.”
The eight one-hour episodes are intended to offer “an authentic look at a variety of real first dates happening over one night at the same restaurant. The audience will be along for the full ride in a relatable viewing experience that plays like a real romantic comedy.”
The producers bill the show as an “observational documentary series” rather than reality TV. Production will begin in July in Chicago. No premiere date is set.
