Scoop it up

We all scream for ice cream, especially when it’s free. Ben & Jerry’s is hosting its annual Free Cone Day by giving away free scoops of ice cream on Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m. at participating shops. Plan accordingly, as the lines can be very long for this cool giveaway. They expect to scoop more than a million free cones worldwide. Limit one cone per customer. The annual celebration introduces new flavors, such as this year’s SNL-inspired Wayne’Swirled, Spectacular Speculoos and Boom Chocolatta! /free-cone-day

Market price

Boston Market cooks up a Tax Day offer sure to give your wallet some relief. On Wednesday, buy an Individual Meal and get a second for free. It’s a great deal, as the chain rarely offers such discounts. Each meal includes chicken, turkey, ribs, meatloaf or pulled pork with your choice of two home-style sides and freshly baked cornbread. No coupon (or accountant) necessary for the savings.

Tune into recycling

It’s easy to be green and recycle electronics for free on Saturday. From noon to 3 p.m., Techno+Rescue’s recycling trucks will be in the parking lot at The Stampede (2430 S. Havana St. in Aurora.). There’s no charge to dump your old PCs, CPUs, towers, laptops, notebooks, cellphones, office phones, monitors, keyboards, printers, copiers, fax machines, cables, compact fluorescent bulbs, clothing and televisions of all sizes. (Limit two TVs per family.) Have personal documents you need destroyed? Free secure shredding is also available on site, with a limit of four boxes or bags. Volunteers will be on hand to assist with unloading.

Smile big

This deal has some bite for those without dental insurance. For the fourth year, the generous “family” at Summit Family Dentistry (12999 W. Bowles Drive in Littleton) is offering free dental care to any adult 18 years or older on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients can choose a complete cleaning, tooth extraction or dental filling at no charge. All services are first-come, first-serve. No appointments will be accepted. The line forms early (often the night before), so plan accordingly. To make the wait more pleasant, organizers plan games with prize giveaways from local businesses. from-the-heart

Each Monday, Laura Daily and Bryan K. Chavez compile “Cheap Checklist” to help you find deals, discounts and freebies. Know of a deal? E-mail info@milehighonthecheap.com 10 to 14 days in advance.
