About 60 Lyons residents are unable to dial 911 from their landlines Sunday night, as officials work to fix the problem.
At about 10:15 p.m., the Boulder County Regional Communications Center was informed by a Century Link dispatcher that an equipment failure caused residents of Lyons to be unable to call 911 from a landline phone, according to a Boulder County Sheriff’s Office news release.
An estimated time for the fix was not available, the release said.
According to the release, those with an emergency are asked to call for help from a cell phone, go to the Lyons Fire Protection District Station 1 at 251 Main St. or the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office substation at 432 5th Ave. by the Lyons Town Hall.
The Sheriff’s Office will provide an update once one is available.
