One year ago, most Coloradans would have had no idea what a Gentlemen of the Road Stopover is. But since Mumford & Sons’ announced in March they’d be bringing a one-off music festival to Salida this summer, it’s been one of the most anticipated music events of the year. And that weekend is finally here.
On Friday and Saturday Mumford & Sons’ Gentlemen of the Road Stopover brings, the Flaming Lips, Dawes, the Mumfords themselves, Jenny Lewis, the Vaccines, Tune-Yards and more to Salida. It’s the first event of this kind in the Colorado town and could hint at bigger things to come in the future.
