Eclectic Concerts, direct from composers
April 23 The presenting group Denver Eclectic Concerts lives up to its name once again this week, presenting a program of composers who have very little to do with one another — on paper. Sonically, they share a talent for creating interesting, contemporary work — and they’re all from this state, leading to the performance’s straightforward title “Colorado Composer Concert.” The best-known name on the bill is Tom Hagerman, multi-instrumentalist and member of the band DeVotchKa. There’s also Charles Lee, a frequent cellist with the Boulder Phil and Colorado Ballet Orchestra; Chris Malloy, whose music has been played in the U.S. and Europe; and Loretta Notareschi, who writes for chamber ensemble and chorus. 7 p.m., April 23, Cameron Church, 1600 S. Pearl. $20. Ray Mark Rinaldi
