“Suicide Squad” director David Ayer tweeted out a photo Friday of in lieu of Batman’s arch-nemesis’ 75th anniversary.
“The Suicide Squad wishes you a Happy Anniversary Mr. J,” Ayer wrote on Twitter.
The Joker made his debut in the first issue of “Batman” on April 25, 1940.
“Suicide Squad” follows the story the titular anti-hero team, which includes the likes of Deadshot (played by Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and others. It is slated to be the third installment in DC Comics’ shared universe films, which includes “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
The movie is scheduled to be released Aug. 5, 2016.
