Rain should continue in the Denver area Monday morning until about noon, with skies slowly clearing this afternoon as the storm system moves out.

Snow in the mountains on Monday will be lighter than weekend totals, with additional accumulations of less than 2 inches in some areas. Skies in the mountains should remain cloudy Monday before clearing out overnight.

In Denver Monday the high temperature should top out at 51 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

There’s a 10 percent chance of rain in Denver Monday night, mostly before 9 p.m., and skies will be mostly cloudy as the low temperature dips to 35 degrees.

Tuesday weather in Denver should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature of 62 degrees. Skies in Denver should be sunny through most of the week, with high temperatures climbing into the 70s on Wednesday and Thursday. There’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms returning to Denver on Friday.
